Thank you Razzmatazz. It is a rather easy model. Diagrams are already published in Gerwin Sturm's book "Origami - Kreative Falt-Ideen". This time I decided to fold it some eyes. It doesn't look as cute as it does without eyes, but the question is are dragons cute?

The point was that it makes nice colour effects. Given that these only appeared when I used non-bleeding tissue paper on top, it would be absolutely pointless to me to make it with bleeding tissue paper.
It makes sense now.

One uncut square of tissue foil. I might paint the white parts with glow in the dark paint! Will report back if it works out.

This is the living room I created in 2010. I folded it in July, this year, with the small UV Ultra squares that Rose Mary sent me by mail from Canada. I made it for her in appreciation; it's now part of Cafe Origami's permanent exhibition :)

Image
It's the smallest living room I've folded. Here I compare its size to a CD box. The case it's in has a 7 cm width and length, that is 2 & 3/4 in.

Image
  • The Armchairs and the Sofa where folded each from 7.5 X 7.5 cm squares, that is 3 X 3 in.
  • The Cushions were folded from 3.8 X 3.8 cm square, that is 1 & 1/2 X 1 & 1/2 in.
  • The Coffe table was folded from a 3 x 3 cm square, that is 1 & 1/5 X 1 & 1/5 in.
Image
Before folding, I painted some of the pieces with diluted coffee.

Image
I had write super small!

Image
It's really hard to be precise with such small papers :?.

I really hope she likes it :)!

mhafizur, I can't see them. Instead I find a message saying "This image or video is currently unavailable".

My latest creation, I called it "Roulette". It was folded from a hexagon cut from a 25 cm on the side square of kami:

After much wrangling (and quite a bit of improvisation as the diagrams I had were far from clear), I present Chuka Ryu or my version of it based on Hoang Trung Thanh’s design:

more details at blog - this was a huge life-eater but I am happy with the result. http://www.wonko.info/365origami/?p=3670
I fold therefore I am.

Very nice, these are the types of models I look for. Has new elements to it that make it unique. However, just wanting to be clear since there is confusion sometimes in models like these...how many sheets total are in your picture?

Robert Lang´s koi carp, with scales.

My first try at implementing scales in anything.
And it´s hard!
