Naoki Takeda Santa Claus
I received a photocopy of the CP for this model. Can anybody advise me on how to collapse it or possibly have a photo of the collapsed base. Only thing I can find on line are photos of the complete model.

I'll see what I can do about photos of the base. I have a partway collapsed model I started last Christmas; perhaps I can finish it by this Christmas!

yep thats the onemir numaan wrote:you guys are talking about the one in JOAS 2011 special issue?
Here are some progress pictures by CreasePatterFolder (Im sorry if I misspelled his name...)
Its actually really simple to collapse and shaping is not that hard either
so just start collapsing same way as CPF starts... (it looks simular to water bomb base)...only tricky part is the head. But if you want I could redraw CP of the head and post it here...

Re: Naoki Takeda Santa Claus
I've replaced the img-tags in DJ origami's posts with url-tags, so the links are at least clickable. The problem is that the command that defines the size of the picture is at the end of the link and the Forum software can only handle picture links that end with .jpg .gif .png .bmp or similar endings.
But still, two of the links lead to nowhere and that's nothing to do with the ending.

Umm it works for me... anyways you can all find pictures on this blog if you scroll down a little bit..

And sr123ification model is based on 32 grid. Oh and dont be scared of middle part because of un ending lines... you just make regular folds and then opent the bag at the end and shape it

Thanks all for help.
DJ, the head is the upper middle of the CP, correct? That's the section that is blurry on my copy. That peak on your first photo is actually the horizontal centerline correct?

Re: Naoki Takeda Santa Claus
Best thing to do is try I have heard that oripa doesn't always fold BP cp's perfectly, but not having the software, I'd say you can only know if you tried
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....
