I managed to coax a 60cm square of VOG paper into Robert Lang's Yellowjacket - beast of a model it is but I am quite happy with my first attempt at it

Wow great job Wonko! most of the yellow jacket's I've seen have messed up legs but yours seems to have come out great =D>
I'm a big fan of your blog btw. Its very interesting to see another folders approach at origami.

Bahamut BL- designed by Satoshi Kamiya
Folded from a 16 inch(40 cm) square. Better pictures on my flickr gallery
What do you think? I'm thinking of refolding it from bigger mulberry as a submission for OBC :)

^Not bad! I once tried folding it, but the paper was too crappy lol. I might give it another go at some point.

Thanks! If you do fold it again papers like mulberry will probably be best!Foil paper and tissue foil will make the legs really thick :(

Pretty good Tomasz! The head is a bit small, but I like the shaping of the back

I folded Kota Imai's Praying Mantis from a 19 inch square. This was the one I was folding when I posted the Mantis Shaping topic. Even though I used double tissue the legs came out really nicely and I'm fairly happy with it.

Depends on which model you're asking about :P I guess I'll just go through all the ones since the yellow jacket
Shoes-I don't think so
Bahamut BL- No diagrams but a cp is on Kamiyas website. (just search Bahamut BL origami and you should get it)
Chameleon- Diagrams in VOG 2 (I don't have the book but it says that some form of instructions are in the book)
Bison- Its a recent design so probably no
Praying Mantis- No but there is a cp. Seeing as you've folded a 3.5 it should be a piece of cake though.

His photo stream also has a cp for a newer better (but also far more complex) mantis and two flying mantis cps.
If you do consider doing this, you should probably use single tissue or double tissue. Most other papers will end up too thick to do thin legs.
