Ryujin 2.1 CP remake

Post by idooi56 »

The CP of this model is very blurry and hard to read. Is it legal to redraw the CP and post it here? (with all rights reserved to the author of course)

I have redraw the CP. Can someone tell me if it's legal or not? I think a lot of people will be happy to use it.

It would be illegal, you would need the author's permission before you can publish it anywhere.

That would be true for the 3.5, however since the Ryujin 2.1 has had its cp published online publicly by the author (on his website here) there's no problem posting a redraw. Someone has done this before with the 1.2, but I don't know if the 2.1 has been reposted.

Hey idooi56, what program do you use for creating crease patterns? I only use inkscape and the creases I make are inaccurate, maybe because I don't know how to use it more effectively :p

I used Oripa for the Ryujin 2.1 CP, but it can only display grids that are 80 or less, so I had to make each quarter seperetly. It took me a couple of hours to understand how to use the program efficiently.
Oripa is really accurate. You can make an angle bisectors, 90 degrees lines and many more.
