How did you get the spikes at the back? I can't find one from my folded base

You can make the spikes with the extra flap that is on the center of the CP, the one that ends up under the tail part. You turn the flap inside out and it ends up inside the neck flap, then you make a rabbit ear fold on that extra flap and now you have a flap do make the spikes.

I think that kamiya uses something like this but definitely not this similar.
Hope this "tutorial" helps:

Also, I wonder if you cant give any tips on the wings ans head, since mine ended up different.

Ah I can see it now, thank you :)

For the head part, I still havent folded that part either, I cant get it to flatten up. I haven't actually folded it completely, Im only at the base only, without the head folded

Didn't know how to shape the neck area and wings, but here is my take on it.

Wow great job! Your Alduin looks amazing. I have a question though. I am one of the people trying to get started with complex cp's so I wonder how you figured out the reference points with irrational proportions

Robert J Lang has a software called Reference Finder that you can download on his website. I personally haven't tried it yet, but I think it helps a lot.

The other way people do it is by mathematically calculating it themselves. Although it is difficult, a high school geometry class is really all you need.

See my topic about reference help in the General Origami Talk forum. Not everything is covered there, but hopefully it will be a good start for you.

I saw the CP and can't find scales anywhere. Do we have to make the scales ourselves after collapsing the model by pleating?

This is the easiest way to find the reference for this model.

The maths is based on the crossing diagonal method. This is explained fully in Robert Lang's article: http://www.langorigami.com/files/articl ... ctions.pdf. I also made a one page proof: https://www.flickr.com/photos/165950593 ... ed-public/.
