Re: Translate Origami Terms to Spanish?
Thanks Brimstone. In Spanish, when a friend of ours talks about a Kawasaki rose and that it starts from a twist fold, how do they usually say it?

Re: Translate Origami Terms to Spanish?
They say "giro Kawasaki" which is incorrect because Kawasaki didn't invent the twist, people around here just got to know it because of the rose but the move had been around for many years prior to that.Gerardo wrote:Thanks Brimstone. Re: Translate Origami Terms to Spanish?
I didn't know that. I can see how that can be problematic. Do they also call them "giro Kawasaki" when referring to the twist folds used in some tessellations?
I'll browse a bit for tessellations on Spanish websites.

Yes they do but it's a mistake since Kawasaki didn't create the square twsit.Gerardo wrote:I didn't know that. I can see how that can be problematic. Do they also call them "giro Kawasaki" when referring to the twist folds used in some tessellations?

Re: Translate Origami Terms to Spanish?
I'll use the literal translation "pliegue de giro", which I had actually already used in a Neorigami article a couple of years ago. I just didn't remember. Thanks for your help Brimstone.

What's the translation of Navel Shell to Spanish? I'm referring to Tomoko Fuse's model. I see "navel" means something like "center" or something related to the belly-button.

How should I call the traditional model lazy Susan in Spanish? https://britishorigami.info/academic/da ... mom58b.htm
Non-origami lazy Susans are a type of turntables for food. That type of lazy Susan's are called "tabla giratoria" in Spanish: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabla_giratoria
But the origami version doesn't turn at all, so I'm lost about how to call it.
Thank you in advance!
