Merman -> They're based on 22.5--otherwise the axial creases on either side wouldn't line up.
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Thx. Then the cp Kamiya created has angles that are a bit off in the head section. The leg sections seem ok.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Done with the Ryujin 3.5
Tracing paper 2m x 2m
Time taken: 4 months
If you plan to fold it, make sure you have lots of patience and don't usually get frustrated easily, or else you'll end up screwing up the whole thing. If you get stuck at a molecule, take a break! (im serious)
Later, test fold the difficult molecule on a separate piece of paper to prevent crumpling on the original. That's how you will end up with a neat fold and your hard work will pay off!

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Hello, could someone help me I will start folding the ryujin 2.1 and also I will do the 3.5 (in the future a little distant) and I would like you to help me with tips and crease patterns of parts of the ryuijin (both 2.1 and 3.5), to do test folds, I would like that I stay as clean as possible and that's why I think I should practice before. I also wanted to know if the scales of ryujin 2.1 can be shaped because it would give a good result to the dragon. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I will start to double the ryujin 2.1 and also the 3.5 (in the near future), could you help me with tips and send parts of the cp of both versions to test folds, especially on the leg because I read that is so difficult? (the majority who were in the forum disappeared), because I think that to achieve a very clean finish I must practice. Thanks in advance .
PSDT: Is there any way to shape the scales of ryujin 2.1?

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
The scales of Ryujin 2.1 can't be shaped due to their smaller size. Even if you use a larger sheet, they won't be that impressive due to lack of dorsal spines.Diego030505 wrote:Hello, could someone help me I will start folding the ryujin 2.1 and also I will do the 3.5 (in the future a little distant) and I would like you to help me with tips and crease patterns of parts of the ryuijin (both 2.1 and 3.5), to do test folds, I would like that I stay as clean as possible and that's why I think I should practice before. Just test fold the head, legs, tail, scales and neck twist for the 2.1 and later, the 3.5!

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
But I would like to know where to find the CP of the complete legs of 3.5 and if there is a cp for the ryujin 3.1, and if not, how they do it to do it. Thanks in advance.

If you look it up on youtube, there's a timelapse video of the giant ryujin being folded.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
There is a full crease pattern for the Ryujin 3.5 in Satoshi Kamiya's book 'World of Super Complex Origami'. This is the only place any part of the crease pattern is legally avaliable. Satoshi Kamiya has not publicly released a CP for the 3.1, but I believe the people who have folded it have reverse-engineered it. The only scaled Ryujin which has a freely avaliable CP is the 2.1, and it can be found here.
Hope this helps

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
As Merlyn said, the only legitimate way of obtaining the official crease pattern is in the book mentioned above.
That said, a partial CP was floating around a while ago on another site. However, I can’t remember where, and it may have since been removed.
