Origami Cranes

Post by paladinNJ »

Just for my own information but how many variations are there on the traditional crane?
I've seen:
Double Cranes
Santa Crane
Crane with a rose.
Wavy Wings
Crane with a crane on it's head

Satoshi Kamiya has done an X-wing Crane. It’s on his Twitter somewhere; unfortunately I don’t have a link.
There’s also a model by Robert Lang (?) called “Generations” of three stacked cranes.
And finally, there are countless multiheaded cranes out there.
After the fall, we rise.

Jun Maekawa has a great 3 headed crane
I have designed a 3 headed 3 tailed 4 winged crane
Kamiya also has a aquacrane (with dolphinesque features)
There is the walking crane and the four legged dragon crane and a ryujin headed crane and other dragon head crane variations...

Tankoda's comments reminded me of John Montroll's Crane with legs.

I gave away an entire book of cranes. I've seen displays with a hundred variations, they truly are endless.
