Very nice, although the horn looks a bit short. But Anemark, how did you manage to find all the reference points? Are you able to find them in any crease pattern or just some of them?

I very time was engaged in assembly of models under diagrams, and handwriting of authors origami I know well and when they will get used, fold diagrams not so difficultly. At present, I do not need to transfer(carry) lines on a leaf(sheet) of assembly, simply I collect, finding control points. And I can practically collect and decipher any crease pattern, for example me the friend from Russia, yes has asked to decipher this bug, by the way at whom what problems with assembly of patterns glance here, ask questions - I shall answer:)

i made diagram in photoshop cs3 and paint brash quikly and easy :)
And the horn can be made and is longer, at me simply paper not such thin, as at Satoshi, unfortunately:)

Well, truth-be-told, Satoshi Kamiya's Hercules Beetle is not a very difficult crease pattern to solve. I believe it was my third, after the Jackalope and Phoenix.

Speaking of which. It is interesting to see how far my old Phoenix CP diagrams have spread, considering I gave them to just seven people, years ago.

Ah well, nice to see them being put to good use.

Anermak, I never diagrammed the beetle. I folded it probably four years ago. The CP I diagrammed was the Phoenix, which you have posted here: http://origamipro.ucoz.ru/forum/11-87-1
