Search. This thread has already been done. That said, Fumiaki Kawahata, Satoshi Kamiya, Hideo Komatsu, Robert Lang, and my friend Jason Ku are all at the top of my list.
I also really like the work of Nguyen Hung Cuong and Quentin Trollip, but I haven't folded much of it. Brian Chan and Seth Friedman have improved tremendously in the past couple years, with Brian quickly becoming the new Robert Lang, (Jason is like the new Kamiya), and Seth conquering the birds.
And of course, I'd have to put Jared Needle at the top of the list. I just wish he made more diagrams...

There are LOTS of Origami masters I admire, each one of them for different reasons:
- Akira Yoshizawa sensei, for obvious reasons. May rest in peace.
- Satoshi Kamiya, who is a great technical designer. He can do wonders with a radial CP structure (which is not easy at all)...
- Hojyo Takashi, with box-pleated models that are simply outstanding!
- Dr. Robert J. Lang, for beeing a teacher to many folders and a very good creator himself.
- Eric Joisel, whose compositions are so full of life that seem carved in stone! Breathtaking modeling and amazing skills...
- Román Díaz, having really fun-to-fold and realistic creations. His comprehension of Origami made him one of my favourite designers.
And I think that's it =]!

It's impossible until someone does it.
