Monthly Folding Challenge - December 2007

Post by qtrollip »

Ok. The topic for December is an emotion/feeling/mood!
Think outside the box.

Rules, as before:

-Any number of squares or shapes can be used.
-You can design a scene, too.
-You may use glue, if you must
-Paint, glitter, etc, is allowed.
-No cutting.
-You must use your own design. This may be modified from someone else's design.
-The model must NOT have been folded or posted on the internet before November 2007
-Please post a photo, along with the title, paper used, and any comments about the design.

The judge will be quesoonfire, who will choose the best design.

Quesoonfire and myself are barred from winning, but not from entering.

May the best folder win!

An example:

The month before last, the french forum topic was masks. You might find some emotions on here.
Those are just some examples. I think I'll try folding something other than a mask that shows emotion.

This is a very interesting challenge-as a musician, I am familiar with the concept of emotions shown through music. I believe all art does this in a way-I guess it is time to get in touch with my Eastern side in origami :P

I've already posted this model in "What have you folded lately" but it's been done in December so it should count:

Unity or Unison (not sure what's the more appropriate word for it in English)
symbolised by the Statue of Clare & Teresa folded from a 48cm square of foil paper.

Image

CP and more information about the model on my blog :-)
So long and keep folding ^_^

Haha wolf, I was waiting for someone to do one of those virtue posters.

I'll try to post something this month... after finals week I'm free for the rest of December. I'll fold something, unlike somebody here  .
