Some time ago I've designed a closed rose, but never actually exposed it to a large community of folders.
I'll be happy to hear any comments regarding the design and the photo-diagram.

The diagram is here: rose.pdf

slightly different version, videos are here:
part1 (base)
part2.1
part2.2
part3
part4 (leaf)

Nice rose! Very clear diagrams and pictures, though maybe you could try to make the petals more curved, but other than that,I think it was great! :D

Hello, your rose looks really good. I've been trying to find a simple rose to make and this looks much easier than the kawasaki rose. Yours seems to be a good first rose for me, then I will eventually make the new Lang rose.

I do have a question:

Is it possible for you to make a video of how to make this. Your instructions are very good, but a video can show more that what is on paper.

I would greatly appreciate if you would attempt to do this. :D

Thanks,
Actually, I believe that it is harder to fold than Kawasaki's. Easier to describe, but harder to fold.
However ,I think I will make a video of it someday, and as soon as I do, I will send it to you .

Yea, after I stopped giving up, the Kawasaki Rose turned out to be pretty easy. I still want to be able to fold your rose, I think it looks soo much cleaner than the Kawasaki Rose. It clearly looks like a rose, sometimes the Kawasaki Rose doesn't turn out the greatest.

I hope to see your video soon

thank you!!!!

I´m trying to fold your rose, just trying it in a 15x15 kami paper for testing, but I have problems in step 6... I can´t shape the paper.

Any help is welcome. This is for a present and I have just one day or maybe two... so, please, help me!!

I promise to take photos and post them later if I manage to fold that.

Thank you in advance!!

Yea, that step can get tricky. I think I did it right but then I got stuck at around step 10 or 11, where you start to tighten the rose.

I'm still waiting for a video. :D :D

Yes, a video would be very helpful... I hope that Seylon will have some time to record it ;-) ...or maybe someone who knows how to fold that rose.

See ya!
