I don't think he means hes like those players who farm gold to sell it for real money, they ruin the market. Really though, its GW's faulty economy that is the problem. There aren't really enough gold sinks even with the expensive elite armor sets. Most MMO's suffer from that, its a shame.
I mostly play WoW these days, Alliance side ;p. Been leveling my gnome mage and death knight lately.

By that, I think that Joe means that he doesn't think that Chesslo is a Guild Wars player who harvests money through a variety of different ways and sells it for real world currency.Joe the white wrote:...I don't think he means hes like those players who farm gold to sell it for real money...
The rest doesn't make sense to me.

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.

I mean, I don't believe he is the stereotypical farmer, aka "Chinese Gold Farmer" who plays the game as an operation to sell virtual goods such as rare items or in-game currency (usually called gold, zeni, mesos, etc.) for real money (they actually happen to be from all over the world, though China has been stuck with much of the blame by players). They are the leading contributer of an inflated economy by illegally catering to lazy players.
Most people use the term "farm" for going out and collecting money/materials for usually long periods of time to trade in/craft/or sell to other players for in-game currency. In many MMOs its about the only way to afford good items. It does contribute to a bad economy as well, but its not the cause. (in that case though, just playing and keeping items and gold in cirrculation to other players would be contributing)
I could go on, but I'll spare you a boring game economics lecture XD.
