Help with Montroll's Archaeopteryx

I love the Prehistoric Origami book by John Montroll. I am having a problem with the Archaeopteryx at Step 25 (page 43). I did the petal fold, and then it looks like at that step you mountain fold the upper triangle behind itself so that it is tucked in....but that does not seem physically possible!??!?! Please help!

I just figured it out..you have to partially unfold the model to fully invert that bit underneath...a very odd step..
