Longest word
I just wanted to share this after I replied on the word association game, but here is what I find when searching "Pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism," and also about longest word.

You might find many things interesting there such as the word Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahul (85 letters), and Lopadotemakhoselakhogameokranioleipsanodrimypotrimmatosilphiokarabomelitokatakekhymenokikhlepikossyphophattoperister- alektryonoptokephalliokigklopeleiolagōiosiraiobaphētraganopterýgōn, which I don't want to waste my time counting the letters.

The word with the longest listed definition is mamihlapinatapai, from a dialect in Tierra Del Fuego, Southern Argentina.
The best translation is: "a look shared by two people with each wishing that the other will initiate something that both desire but which neither one wants to start"
Which summons up a lovely impression of nascent romance.

I really can't imagine why anyone would want to use that word.Kafar wrote:In Poland we have: konstantynopolitańczykowianeczkówna, which means a girl dancer from Constantynopol
There isn't a 'longest word' in Dutch, as far as I know, because you can just infinitly lengthen most words. You could say, for example,
"hottentottententententoonstellingsmakersopleidingsprogramma-
ontwerperscomputerschermreparateurenvakverenigingbeleids-
ambtenarensalarisbesprekingsafsprakenrapportsvergaderingsnotulerings-
rapportsarchieferingsgebouwenonderhoudersvakbondsleiders-
salarisafsprakenkoffiejuffouwswerkkledinghangerfabrieksmanagement-
ondersteunigsteamlogoontwerpstersverenigingspromotiemareriaal-
versprijdersvoertuigenoppoetsershandschoenenopbergtrommeltjes-
bewaarplaatsenerhuirdersbedrijfleideropleidingrapporten-
vergaderingslijderspennenhoudersverkoopersskippybalverenigings-
kledingsstomerijzakloopwedstrijdsscheidsrechtersvergaderings-

overeenkomstbesprekingraportenagiefkastslotenkrakkersgreedschap-

Man I wish they had that word in English. It would be so useful. Bluepaper if I am not mistaken, does the word that I will not type mean rendering an object useless.InsomniacFolder wrote:The word with the longest listed definition is mamihlapinatapai, from a dialect in Tierra Del Fuego, Southern Argentina.

Whenever I do complex Origami I get this sinking feeling.
