 thanks.
ill try it again soon.
I think with a foil it could be better (because the paper is puffy).
Anyways, anyone could help me understand how to do the head? because my head is far away from hojyo takashi's version :P.

violinist head

Post by calvin46689 »

The violinist's head is relatively tricky. It took me a few weeks to figure out. Basically, what you do is just fold down one flap on the edge to make the face, which you did correctly. However, take the layers on the other flap, follow it down the pleats about 3 units, and hold a mountain fold. then, simply pull it out and "wrap" it around the face. repeat with the other pleats, and when you are done, dent the top of the head. trust me. i know. I will give pictures as soon as I make a blog...:D
There are 11 types of people in the world: Those who don't understand binary code, people who DO understand binary code, and then there's people who understand binary code but don't know they do.

I would love to see the pictures of both versions (and, of course, compare them).
Here's a photo of the older one (a simpler, two-piece model):

I'm really having some trouble with the shaping of the model. I have collapsed the base very successfully, but I have no idea what goes where. I know it says which flaps are which on the cp, but japanese isn't my forte.

Thanks!
