I have been vegetarian half my life. It started because of the poverty in which I found myself living; I couldn't afford to eat meat. It continued for health reasons; I saw my friends getting fat but not me. Now I just do it to piss people off.

Both my wife and I are vegetarians. She's been one since she was 11 and me since I was 23. We do it for health reasons. Plus, tofu is delicious!

Tofu is NOT delicious. It doesn't even have a taste. It only soaks up all the flavours you cook it with. Plus, it has the delicate texture of fermented dog crap. But that's just my opinion.
I've fallen down, and I can't get up.

You can do some yum stuff with tofu - though lots of people serve it plain, gross... :)
I am now become a vegan since I started this topic!! And not for health reasons - for the animals!
I can't believe how many people are vegetarians, it's great!
