Ryo Aoki - Motorcycle

Post by e-mo »

Hi All..

I am now trying to fold Ryo's Motorcycle but I got stuck the pictures: 8, 9 and 10.
Did anyone fold that motorcycle already and guide me here?

Thanks,

e-mo

for everyone who are interested to see how it looks like:

Let's see... Did you look at the image on the lower right corner of the picture? That is what step 7-8 looks like in process. Basically, you just collapse the base using the precreases you made through steps 1-6. You also need to push two opposing corners of the square upwards. As for step 9-10, they are very simple : step 9 is two inside reverse folds while step 10 is a simple valley fold. Hope this helps.

Where are the Diagrams for this model?

I checked Origami DB but I didn't find anything.

Thanks

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.

A little bit of research using all my fake Japanese knowledge, brought me to the result that the diagrams can be found in NOA Magazine 198, which being from 1992 is quite old...
So long and keep folding ^_^

Ryo´s motorcycle

Post by Francoise B Halvorsen »

Hei, everybody.
I am newbie to the forum. I am a member of NOA and BOS.
The Ryo Aoki´s motorcycle appears in the newest NOA BOOK called
"Origami creator 2" ISBN 978-4-931297-30-2
The diagram is p 81.
I will add a scan cover of book first, and later some models in the database.
Unfortunately, I didn´t try the motorcycle. I fold the doll, animals and some more simple models.
Francoise.
Wish all of you the best for 2009.

I found it. Hopefully now e-mo can get some help. The images take forever to load though.

Moderator Comment: removed link to copyrighted material, you should know better...

Edit: Sorry. E-mo, since I found the pictures, I will construct a brief photo guide for you, similar to the photo guide that I made for J about the blue crab. :)
