I just noticed something in Naruto

Post by kitsune134 »

In the second series (shippuden if you are a real nerd), there is a member in the main antagonist organization (akatsuki) named konan.

She has a natural talent for origami, and has the ability to divide her body into an unlimited number of paper squares, with which she folds butterflies (for travel and recon) or weapons (for obvious reasons).

I wonder if she can make herself into a HUGE sheet of paper and fold herself into an ancient dragon?

That was like the first thing I thought when I saw Konan...
It's impossible until someone does it.

Sadarac, don't take this the wrong way, but I really think that some of your posts are random and useless. I know, you have "Ranking Fever" or "Posting Fever". I've been there too

I should get back into watching Naruto, it was pretty good so far.

I do watch it and I got interested in Konan as soon as I knew she fought with origami! She might become my favorite character just because of that.

I was at big festival of anime and manga last weekend named Advík and taught there Konan's models, which were in double episode 129/130. Noone remember about origami in that episode...

to me it seems as kishimoto did not do any work at all researching origami for the konan character they are mostly simple flowers and butterflies, the rest of her attacks are usually just loose letter paper not eaven nice squares.
I too was excited to see this konan character fighting with origami but it was all a letdown.
if he had done more reserch he could have done a much better job especially if in the manga he only has to draw a few times the models, and could potentially do more complex work, the real hard job of drawing it in the anime is really left to the cartoon studios.
and it sucks that she´s so weak when she has a double jutsu ability
