You play Farmville? Seriously?

You do realize that because of this, most of your facebook contacts probably hate you for cluttering up their newsfeed?

There's the possibility to block certain applications like for example Farmville. If someone doesn't like to get his newsfeed cluttered with that stuff he always has the possibility to block the application.

Well, I guess than I would have to throw out a whole bunch of my friends including my sister who is the main reason I still use facebook. In this case I think ignoring is the better way and allows you to keep in touch even with people who play strange internet games.

Yes, but I meant to point out that some people might not have such an enlightened view and delete the friend before blocking the app (especially if you don't know said person very well).

I've got a friend who plays all these darned Farmville/CastleAge/whatever games all the time, so whenever I check my facebook newsfeed half of the messages are from him. Worst thing is that he often starts playing new games, so I have to keep blocking new apps all the time. He'll run out of games eventually... I hope.

I doubt that-there is a huge market for Facebook games that are making a lot of people a lot of money. It seems people are scrambling for a slice of the pie.
