Hi all,

if you're looking for a fantastic Easter origami model to fold, I may have just the right one for you.

So, drop your things for an hour or so, and enjoy this 30-minute instructional video on Peter Engel's fantastic hatching chick.
Byt it is indeed what it claims to be - an egg, and a chick hatching out of it? Am I hearing excited whispers discussing whether it's an action model? Well, I guess you'll just have to check for yourself:

Picture of the model: http://www.happyfolding.com/gallery-eng ... hing_chick
Video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTcSjM5pHQk
Video and details on happyfolding: http://www.happyfolding.com/instruction ... hing_chick

I uploaded it mere minutes ago, so the video quality will still improve within the next couple of hours. It looks to be of decent enough quality to view it already, so if you're keen, go for it. :)

A big thanks to Peter Engel, who not only designed an ingenious model, but who also gave me permission to make this video accessible to you.

Happy folding, and happy Easter,

-- Sara

P.S. You do not have to be Christian to fall in love with this model. I am a living proof. :)

Thank you for the Fujimoto Apple video! It was fun to fold! Also, unless I'm doing something catastrophically wrong...your CAPTCHA is malfunctioning...tried to post a comment like 8 times...

Exactly what Frumious said. I've folded a couple of Fujimoto apples already. Also, the CAPCHTA doesn't work for me either. It just comes up with one or two letters rather than words.

I've just finished uploading my newest "origami" video. Some of you may say it's not origami, because you don't need to add creases. If that's the case, read this as: a video on how to make some beautiful paper flowers.

Happy twirling,

If you request a model, please always also include a pointer to where the model is diagrammed.

Hopefully you're as excited about this announcement as me:
I've completed another instructional video. This time it features a vixen designed by Roman Diaz:

Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xjp966UaB5A
http://www.happyfolding.com/instructions-diaz-vixen

Buy the book:
http://www.origami-shop.com/fiche_artic ... anner_id=1
(If you do via this link I'll get a small referral bonus.)
More info on the book: http://www.happyfolding.com/book-diaz-origami_essence

Roman's homepage:
http://dosisdiaria.blogspot.com/

It was quite a challenge to demonstrate this model, and I did make two small mistakes. I think I clarified both enough in the video, though.
I also added English and German subtitles (ugh, what work!).

Thanks again to Roman Diaz for a wonderful book, and giving me permission to demonstrate one of his models from the book.

Sara,

Could you make a video on Dave Brill's Lion family from brilliant origami ? I am having a hard time in getting the head part right?
