Satoshi Kamiya - Ancient dragon with pleats
I was reading the translated bits under Satoshi's Ancient dragon diagrams in his infamous book, and in the last paragraph, he says that the original model had stomach plates, in a similar fashion to his Divine boar model.
So...
...has anyone attempted this variant model?

I once set up an origami PLC. But the business folded.

Phillip West also made a very nice photo guide on how to add those belly pleats. I've done it after the tutorial once. It's rather easy but doesn't add much to the model in my opinion (you hardly notice if you don't especially look out for it).
Here is the guide: http://www.flickr.com/photos/phillipwes ... 378309254/

well eaven if they don´t add much it is very interesting to add them as they are exactly the same as the inoshishigami, it´s cool to see how he mashes and mixes diffrent techniques from diffrent models.
and it has the upside that the back carries less tension in the finished model and is less likely to rip.
try it it´s really fun!
