Does anyone know where to get a diagram of a flying heart like this one?

Step 8 of these diagrams is an "Open Sink".

The following document might help you on how to do it:

The open sink is described on the last page.

I'm stuck at steps 23 and 24...I'm not sure what I'm trying to accomplish here. There's a sink arrow on step 23, but what am i sinking?

I'm not sure about this because I haven't folded the model yet, but step 23 looks to me like a "spread squash".
If you fold the flap into the position shown in step 24 you will have to squash something (forming this small triangle you see in step 24) to make the model lie flat.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on this (I should actually fold models before giving hints...)

Hello everyone. I'm Nguyen Hung Cuong, the author of this heart wings. Thank you very much for folding my model.

I'm sorry because I haven't known this topic until today. If I had known it earlier I would have helped you to get over all of the difficulties before Valentine's Day.

Daydreamer said right: the step 23 is exactly "spread squash". If you skip this step I'm sure that you'll have a problem with the step 26. Good luck!

Well I can fold the heat/wing with no problems
I do how ever dont under stand the point of step 23 the spred squash I find the the wing "drop" step # 26 does not really require that... there is only a hidden raw edge that has to be freed behind the heart for the wing to be moved easley.

It means that you repeat the same fold on the other side.
