Monthly Folding Challenge - September 2010

Post by anermak »

The theme for September is ''Ancient Egypt"

The task of this challenge will Ancient Egypt. This is a very broad topic, which all allow all not only to demonstrate their skills in origami, but also delve into the history of the ancient world. You could fold Gods or the symbols of the Ancient Egypt.
Perhaps you will choose an assembly of warriors, masks, slaves or mummy, sacred animals or pyramides.
You can also fold the many kind of monuments of architecture.
In general, the choice is limitless. Good luck!!!

Wasn't there another Egypt-themed challenge going on on the net? Anyway, I'll definitely need to finish for this month the mummy I promised so long ago...

It looks interesting Philip, I would like to see what it looks like folded out of kami, if you have the time. :)

FlareglooM, this model is flat isn't it? Very clever use of the colour-change.

Dear friends:

I am the organizer of the Ancient Egypt Origami Contest in honor to David Lister. This contest that has taken a whole year to competitors will finish September 30, 2010. I think it is a good idea to join and people that participate in this contest could also participate in the jousting. Please check the rules ( some had to be changed) at: http://joustingandchallenges.blogspot.com/ and the flick group for upload your models: http://www.flickr.com/groups/la_gran_ju ... guo_egipto

Finally. Sphinx 1.2.

The tail is about 3x as large as the body, when un-pleated. :o
