Satoshi Kamiya - Long Headed Locust (CP)

Post by Zoraz »

Does anybody know the reference point for the middle graft on this piece? I have tried a few, but they were all too small or way to big. Here is a picture of the CP.

Hello!
I am having trouble with Step 49 in O.T.M. 125
I can fold the top part, but I do not understand why the two bottom "feet" are suddently underneath, do I need to pull out the top pleat and redo it all the way to the top? That does not seem very feasable...

Then from 51 to 52/53 I just don't see how this is dont, follwing the folds. I have a feeling it's because of step 49.

ADDED:
I figured it out, the underside is the reverse of the front, thus sinking the corners in.

they are just reverse folds as i guess you have figured out, then the following steps are basically a petal fold of sorts! good luck!

pop pop, you are sort of doing what you do with a basic crane, where you pull up a layer and swing in the sides to form the wings. Here, you want to pull up area at the bottom that looks like ^ in the diagrams, in the center and right above the two white triangle-ish parts. While you do this, you have to push in where the black arrows show. Keep pushing in, and the paper will sort of snap into the position you see it in, in step 52. Step 52 and 53 are pretty basic, but in step 54 the mountain and valley folds that the diagrams show go all the way to the top of the inside area where they are. This means that for the mountain fold, the one closest to you, you kind of have to pull the paper out. It's hard to explain :(
