Bull
Designed and folded by me.
40cm x 40cm Elephant hide. After folding I taped it in the desired shape, then held it under water, then let it dry. As you can see, my dog likes it.

Re: What have you folded lately?
Finally nutted out Gerwin Sturm's Sydney Opera House:
There are some errors in his crease pattern, took me a while to nut out what went where.
More info at the blog: http://www.wonko.info/365origami/?p=3467
Quite pleased with the result (the Opera House is my favourite building on the planet), hope you like it.

Well done That is a very nice model.SpKeny wrote:I show you mi first origami creation:

Nazgul 8.1 by Jason Ku.
50 cm sheet of Banana Paper. Front legs were too thin, so I had to insert wires. It could certainly do with better shaping, but that's beyond me.

Re: What have you folded lately?
Jeremy Shafer's "Stranded On A Desert Isle" folded by me from 32cm Tissue Foil. I'm very happy Jeremy made a video instruction on how to fold this model. I always liked it since I first saw a picture of it several years ago in his book "Origami to Astonish and Amuse" and now finally have been able to fold it.
You can find the video here.

Re: What have you folded lately?
Since I wasn't entirely happy with the palm tree being so long and skinny and its leaves so tiny, I decided to fold a slight variation of Jeremy Shafer's "Stranded On A Desert Isle" from 15cm Tissue Foil. I like the proportions of the tiny model better, but of course shaping is easier on a large scale model. The isle is only 3cm across on this one.
And in direct comparison:

Same here. I even tried to come up with similar model, but failed miserably ( read creatively challenged ).origami_8 wrote:I always liked it since I first saw a picture of it several years ago in his book "Origami to Astonish and Amuse"
That is a nice fold. I am also looking forward to folding this model. It'd be better if the isle was a bit larger.
