Gorilla

Post by sargo »

I came past by this house and noticed a sitting "gorilla" on the veranda. The head was formed (folded) with a blueish plastik bag.

it was rather dark then, the head was "glooming" from inside. On this flashlight picture this effect is not visible. But the structure of the work is quite good to recognise.

does anyone know the origin of this artwork ? is this related to the origami art ?

thanks for any replies !

edit:

here is a second shot, more close to the head. On this the typicall "bars" on the forehead are obvious.

I guess the whole setup had something like this in mind:

Very hard but... yes, I can see what you mean! Thanks for your edit. But I am affraid that it is not similar to Florderer's croumpled origami, it really looks like "random-crumpling-during-cleaning-origami". 8)

@islandmassive
I took the pictures during my last stay in Thailand. I just know that the two ladies who stay in that house are "hardcore christians". Maybe this is their way of scaring people away.

@Ondreij
I looked up some of Florderers work, impressive stuff.
