Double colored kraft paper

Post by kingdomwinds »

Is there a place that sells duo kraft paper? I tried kraft paper recently and it gave me really nice results. It does not tear easily and holds a crease well.

So I want to use kraft paper primarily. But it is the same color on both sides. Are there places that sell colored kraft paper that are different on both sides? Or is it possible to make my own color? I think paint would be messy and make the paper thicker.

I don´t know where you live, but in Europe you get it nearly everywhere in large rolls sold as wrapping paper, just have a look around in different stores, maybe you will find some.

I bought loads from Hobbycraft in the UK (it's a big chain of craft superstores over here) they had stacks of 2m rolls at half price in a few colours (red/gold, blue/silver, gold/silver).
I'd be interested if anyone knew of a reliable UK source though for good origami suitable lightweight kraft paper (coloured or otherwise). E-bay seems to supply loads but all heavyweight stuff.
