Hey everyone, I need your opinion. I need ideas for an exhibition I'm taking part in. I've entered the visual arts catagory. The theme is "Dit is herfs" or, in english, "It's autumn". I would just like some ideas for models that would work well with the theme or even which type's or color paper you think would go nicely. I already have some good Ideas, but some inspiration won't hurt.

Thanx!

Jassu got a very nice maple leaf which would make a great background/filling model in different autumn-like colours:

Well thanks for those ideas, but I need more. I was thinlking of going down the line of perhaps something more abstract like old people (In the autumn years) or something along those lines. Any help there?

I remember a custom of the Japanese (and Chinese - may be - too) to watch the moon together - just as the cherry blossom in spring. I don't know which time of year is the best to do so, but I'm quite sure that there are also some good opportunities in autumn. So what about a group of paper people watching a paper moon within a copse of maple trees - symbolized by paper maple leaves? If You're going to place some birds (an owl, for instance) and mammals (deer and squirrel) around, it'll probably become a nice scenery.

Have you tried to search for "autumn" on google images. I always find that to be a great help.
And searching for "Origami autumn" led to this:

Here in the nidwest, Autumn is harvest time. In addition to falling leaves, I would also do gourds.

As far as the abstract theme, wouldn't autumn be more like middle age? After all, spring is most often associated with childhood, so summer would be the transition to adulthood and winter would be the final stage of life before death, I would think.
