Dear all

We are thrilled to announce the publication of Assia Brill's new origami book.

CURLICUE: Kinetic Origami
ISBN-10: 1494234939
ISBN-13: 978-1494234935

A full colour 80 page paperback, Curlicue: Kinetic Origami is a rather different origami book. With meticulous hand-drawn diagrams showing every step in the folding process, Assia describes several versions of her fascinating origami masterpiece. The Curlicue is folded from parallel or tapering strips, and once finished, you'll discover extraordinary moving patterns as you twist and rotate it.

You're actually Dave Brill? Wow! Congratulations for the book! But with all due respect, I think this topic is supposed to go to the General Origami Talk forum. :)

Moved.

Congratulations, the book looks promising. I wasn't even aware that Assia has own model designs. The models look pretty interesting. I wonder how many squares it would take to fold something similar

Dear dragonaura, I sincerely doubt that this will ever be available from Origami House. You can order it from Amazon and since it is a book you will most probably even have free shipping.

We are exploring ALL distribution channels, INCLUDING Origami House, so watch this space! Assia is a great origami designer. We have had joint shows in Freising 2010 and Reykjavik 2013: see these albums.

Hello

In my childhood 40 years ago we played with paperstrips in all shapes and lengths and created same models like curlicues. We never thought it could be something unique nor were we looking for a label like 'curlicue kinetic origami'. We were just interested in geometry and its possibilities when we weren't allowed to spend time outdoors. What a surprise to see such an usual extraordinary equipped with a brand name in 2013. Clever done.
