I am working on a fishtank project and I was wondering if any of you have suggestions on the best way to fold an air bubble.

The traditional waterbomb (from the waterbomb base) might work well

Yeah you could perhaps tweak the Origami Ball to get the bubble to the shape you would want in.

Fold it from iridescent paper or acetate.
The OUSA holiday tree for 2003 featured an underwater theme with waterbombs folded from acetate sheets. I haven't been able to find pictures so far, but I think if you searched deeper in the o-list archives, someone will have posted some.
edit: Here they are!

I had planned on using opalescent paper.
I have tried a few things with the waterbomb, but because I'm doing them on a fairly small scale, I'm not really happy with the result, but that's probably what I'll end up doing anyway, I just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
thanks,

If it's on a small scale, it's hard to get anything simpler than a waterbomb.
One alternative is to just roll up a sheet of acetate, then pinch and twist at various points to form something resembling a string of beads.

I love that display - how many different models do you think you used?
