Hi

I'm organising the Japanese Festival posted earlier (http://www.festivalofjapan.co.uk) in the UK, and have run into a bit of a problem.

The guy who was going to do origami demos/workshops has pulled out of 23rd and 24th May, leaving us with only 1 day of origami at the festival! All our leaflets/website/everything says there will be origami for the full 3 days, also there will be a crane folding table for visitors to help make a senba tsuru for Hiroshima, and no one to help them do it.

So...is anyone going to be around those days? Are you willing to come and help 2 Yorkshire lasses out of a tight spot? I'm afraid we don't have much to offer besides our eternal gratitude and cups of tea/coffee, but even an hour workshop/help then you can go round the rest of the festival and enjoy yourself for the rest of the day!

Oh, and if you do the full day on the Wednesday (24th) we will sneak you into the evening outdoor performance with Geisha, Taiko drums, Fireworks etc. Not bad for a few hours folding paper?

Please email me asap if you have anything at all to offer info@festivalofjapan.co.uk Please be a star and rescue the festival!!!x

hum, you should have a look at http://www.britishorigami.info/society/contact.htm and post your message on the origami mailing list too ( http://origami.kvi.nl/faqs/maillist.htm )

I've already said that I will try and do this, if I can make the dates (slightly problematic that it's Tuesday - Thursday, rather than being a weekend). Also I'm not sure how I'm gonna get there...

Anyone else up for this?
