Square Root

Hello! I need help with square root.
I foumd out a way to divide one side of the paper into sqrt2:1 by usong an angle bisector, but how do you use it in other references such as sqrt2:4+4sqrt2?
Is there a way for the sqrt references in general?
I dont want find out a way for each cp every time I fold, so help yould be appreciated.

By the way, I dont have a Flickr account and most pictures posted in this forum isn't visible to me because Chrome points it out as malware.

There are various ways to find reference points for crease patterns. I'm working on putting together an article detailing my favorite methods, but unfortunately the reference-point sequence is different for each specific reference (and thus you need to find them for each individual CP).

For the ratio you mentioned, one possible way is to find the greatest common factor (GCF) of each side and divide the ratio by that factor to simplify it. In this case, the GCF is sqrt2, so division leaves you with 1 : (4+2sqrt2). Using that simplified ratio, I was able to come up with this sequence for your required reference point:
