I emailed Origami Tantiedan twice but they are not responding. It has been over a week now. I am asking if mag 55-60 is still available for order.
Are they dead or something? I finally got some cash for Origami books and want 55-60 badly for the triceratops and the devil.

Well its the holiday season even in Japan, and I'm pretty sure JOAS is a volunteer based organization much like OUSA. Patience is a virtue, especially around this time of year and dealing with people of another country and language.
With this on their site: "You can order back numbers of Origami Tanteidan in the same way as subscribing. Only volume 11 (issue 61-66) or later are available. Each volume costs 4,200yen or US$42. We do not sell issues separately. All prices include shipping." I'm pretty sure they are firm on that, so even if you recieved a reply e-mail it would most likely point you to that.

Its unlikely that they have actual copies available besides a master/archive copy. The only way I see obtaining the issues from them is to visit Origami House in person, and only then if they permit it. They can't really reprint the magazines or make copies without having to make it available for everyone. Much like other volunteer organizations, I doubt they have the resources for that.
The good news is though, that the Triceratops in the magazine is pretty close in looks to the one in Origami Fantasy which was recently reprinted. The most noticable differences are that the 99' Triceratops has more of a stout look and has toe details, possibly a non-color changed face as well.

the 99' triceratops looks so much better though. Looks very realistic. It would be great if it can be included in future origami tanteidan books.
