I have seen many places where they just cut sheets and use it for origami. Its either handmade, printed etc... Do anyone know where u get the real origami paper?

this is the first time I hear somebody say a term like "real origami paper".
I would say "as long as you can fold it, it's origami paper". different styles (like wetfolding) need different paper. different models need different paper (boxes need other paper than complex insects).
so I would say that most paper can be "real origami paper".

Actually when I first learnt to do origami, it was from a book which was about 20 years old which had designs of the traditional origami models. That book there were completed models which were stuck. These models were made out of very thin paper and I am not able to find that sort of paper anywhere today. That paper was white on one side and coloured on the other side. That's the paper I am looking for which I consider the Real Origami Paper

Oh and some of the models which have many folds like how some of the users create in this forum they don't tear apart... but most of the paper I use tear no matter how carefully and slowly I do it... Perhaps I am using the wrong paper for some of the models. However when I use the newspaper to do these models they come out like a charm.

I use a sheet called laminate board of very thin thickness to do most of my origami or handmade paper sometimes newspapers and plain A4 papers...

Mmm... i am now wondering what are the different types of papers people use to fold origami models!!

Do you mean kami paper? They usually have that with white on the back, and it can be found in traditional model books

Well if you are in India, I know (because I received a fair amount from someone from over there) they sell banana skin paper which is thin, translucent, resistent, comes in different colors, etc. Amazing stuff for tessellations.
