The Origami Forum

This is a strong recommendation for the next Origami Japan Tour organised by
Safrans du Monde and Pascal Ronserray. It's the third and most ambitious
excursion so far, designed especially for origami travellers to Japan. It's
the perfect way to see this fascinating country, to meet leading folders on
their home territory, and to experience unforgettable sights, sounds, and
tastes.

If you've long wanted to go to Japan, but have been apprehensive about the
language and communication problems, travelling, food, and local customs,
this is the way to to do it. Pascal and his team will smoothe the way and
take care of everything for you: all you have to do is to sit back and enjoy
the experience.

I went on the first tour organised by Pascal in 2003, along with several
other BOS members, and we had a great time! I particularly recommend the hot
spring bath (onsen) at Ryokan hotels: a great way to unwind after a day of
travelling, sightseeing, and folding.

Although Safrans du Monde, the tour operator, is based in France, Pascal can
fix flights from your home town in many international locations, so please

Oh I would so love to go on this trip, but I don't have that kind of ching to spend on it. Plus I'll be attending a winter school at HMO (Magnetospheric physics, should be interresting) I went to Budapest a few weeks ago to compete in the Minesweeper world champs and got sponsored for that (by the graace of God). The only difference is that I can't exactly say that I'm the best origamist in Africa, can I?

When's the next one gonna be, so I can start saving?

Even if you're not an origami enthusiast, being able to visit places like Himeji Castle make this a very worthy trip.

Ahhh, that trip sounds soooo much fun. I've visited most of those places but getting the opportunity to meet the masters is so rare. I am so jealous...
