Hello all, I was just browsing google video and found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58GdBN4NWz8

It seems to have been uploaded just hours ago, what luck. This is a video of the master folding a swan at a Spanish convention on July 17th 1992. I must say I was quite suprised at finding this.

His way of folding at first seems somewhat forceful, but then delicate at the same time. Having never seen him in person, I'm happy to have seen this memory of him at least.

It's amazing the amount of care he puts into making this... I liked the part where he took the already dry crane and hit it on the board to demonstrate what wetfolding does

hahaha, i liked that bit a lot too.

i liked the softness of the lines - i don't think he makes a sharp crease at all. very different to how i approach origami.

He was quite an enthusiastic folder, or so I have read. One article mentioned his use of a rubber mallet in folding a swan (for flattening the beak). I've not practiced wetfolding alot, I should though, then I can make use of such a mallet on insect models ;p.
