Tissue Issues

To put it plainly and straight to the point, the tissue paper I made looks really nice and it is very smooth, but it sucks to fold from, because the metal bit gets fatigued, and cracks. What can i do to fix this? If I was planning on just backcoating 2 pieces of tissue together using white glue, should I dilute it at all, and by how much?

Thanks,

Rdude

I recommend using spray glue to make tissue foil that should help prevent crakage.

Have you folded with backfoiled paper before or is this your first time? Because what you mention is exactly what happens when you try foil for the first time. Some people overcome this and learn to master it but others (I included) do not get good results from it.

This is pretty much close to my first time. I have done some stuff in foil before, like Dr. Lang's silverfish, and it turned out alright, but with some rips down the back. I guess I'll just have to practice more :)

Keep trying. As I said before, some people really master foil and produce great models, much better that you would with plain kami.
