Whimsical models
Hi everyone, I'm looking for diagrams of whimsical models - something quirky, strange or just plain funny. I guess anything that you wouldn't expect to see as an origami model would fit the bill. Any suggestions? Nothing too complex, hopefully, as I'm just an intermediate folder. Thanks in advance ~

*cough* Araknoid, a 64x64 grid with 5 arms and 5 appendages around an eye/flower looks kind of complex *cough* (no offense)Any suggestions? Nothing too complex, hopefully, as I'm just an intermediate folder. Thanks in advance ~
I'd reccomend the models in Jeremy Shafer's Origami to Astonish and Amuse, but you can still find some very silly models under the diagrams section on Jeremy's Origami Group's website, BARF (Bay Area Rapid Folders). Some of the models on that website are not in his book.

Thanks Araknoid, even though the multiple appendages were very appealing, I looked at your CP and sort of got frightened... maybe I'll try it one day when I learn enough about origami to be confident with CPs
Nathan, thanks muchly for the rec! I think I'll buy Jeremy Shafer's book just for the diagram of the running car alone!
The elephant's rump is great too. I also like some of the simpler stuff like the nuclear crane.
Edit: Nathan, I just checked out your flickr gallery. Your crusader totally rocks! Very, very nice.
