Hi,
I am not a origami hobbyist myself and I was hoping that you could help me find a book for my brother who likes folding origami.
The book should not be too easy. He is mathematically gifted and I am looking for something that will challenge his mind. I don't know how difficult models he can actually fold. I bought him some time ago Origami for the Connoisseur and he folded that amazing beetle. It looks pretty difficult to me.

In terms of the theme of the models some insects, fantasy creatures or maybe some modular things might be nice.
All suggestions are very much appreciated! Thanks already!

How about Origami Insects and their Kin by Robert Lang?
You may also want to consider getting Origami Insects II also by Robert Lang.

If he's really into the math of it, I'd suggest Toshikazu Kawasaki's "Roses, Origami & Math" (ISBN 4-88996-184-4). It has a number of splendid modulars, and also two of his famous (and difficult) roses. An easier version of his rose is in "Origami for the connoisseur", so this would make a logical next book to have. Aside from the models, though, "Roses, Origami & Math" has a 40 page section in the back devoted to the mathematics of paperfolding. While it is rather dense material, it sums up almost all of origami mathematics as of 1998, and is a valuable resource to anyone who's interested in the mathematics of origami. I will warn you, though, it wasn't written for children so he may find it hard to get through unless he's a good reader (or an adult, I suppose... you didn't say how old he was!)

If your brother is an intermedium-advanced origamist I recomend you to buy "Origami Design Secrets", it can help him to delevop his own models furthermore of the nice diagrams inside this... but I'm not sure that would be the best book for him...
By the way, take a look to:
http://www.bookdepository.co.uk. They sell books to all over the world with free shipping costs and very nice prices too.
Good luck in your quest and hope you find the best book for your brother.

First of all find out what books he already has so that you don't buy one of those
