I started this topic to discuss upcoming books in origami.
The book, Origami Bugs and Beasts has just been released. It is the english version of papiro insectos by Manuel Sirgo. You can buy it here,
http://www.amazon.com/Origami-Beasts-Ma ... 0486461920
Eric Gjerde has a tesselation book coming out in January with some interesting models.
I think that Passion Origami 2 is being developed by Nicolas Terry.
Robert Lang said that he will probably release a third insect book in several years.
Hojyo Takashi may be writing a book.
Does anyone know if Satoshi Kamiya is planning on writing a second book?

Bernie Peyton and Hideo Komatsu also have books in the works, and I'll be looking to buy them the day they come out, as well as Robert Lang's new one

At OUSA 2007 Hojo Takashi said that in his book Shibaraku is his top priority.
I do hope Kamiya is writing another book. I guess that would be why he had that poll on his site asking which model people would like to see diagrammed.

I know Montroll is working on 3 books right now.
* 3rd dollar bill book.
* Polyhedra book with lots of math explanations and design concepts.
* Book with many other designers' work from around the world, some of them on this site
I know he is still looking for someone from Germany, Italy and Spain to contribute.

I'm only a Newbie (in this forum and in Origami), but perhaps I could contribute in other ways. Do you know where I could contact him?

Hi all,
in about a week's time (on January 16th) my very first Origami book
will be released
It is called "Origami - Kreative Falt-Ideen" (creative folding-ideas)
and will be published by a German publisher. The book will be in
German only but language has never been a problem for Origami
You can find some information including a model listing (and a
preorder-link to amazon *hint* *hint*) on my personal homepage as well
as on the Origami Austria homepage:
http://www.scarygami.net/book.php
http://www.origamiaustria.at/books.php?lang=2&book=18
I hope (for those of you who will buy it) that you will find the book
as enjoyable as was my experience in creating it.

Congratulations, Daydreamer

It must have taken quite some time.
Sometimes I wish that I could write a book full of my designs, but the only problem is that it takes so much time to make decent diagrams...

any idea when the komatsu book will become available?
of all those authors, the task is probably least daunting for him, as, to my knowledge, at least 14 of his models have already been diagrammed... so it's just a matter of gathering them together.
