Serendipitious outcomes

Post by happyfolder »

Hi All,

Was trying to make a beetle and ended up with a turtle LOL. Started with a double waterbomb base, from a dollar bill sized rectangle.

Was trying to make a spider but ended up with an x-wing fighter LOL. Started with a frog base, from a square.

At the moment, I'm finding it difficult to fold the legs of insects. Would appreciate any pointers and tutorial links. Is there an easy method to create insect legs in general, like for six-legged insects and spiders? For that matter, how do you create octopus tentacles?

This one started out as a bookmark and morphed into a fortune cookie. Started with a square.

Fortune cockie is very funny. Try to incorporate that list with fortune to the model. (I personally call it Anna's challenge.)

I don't have skillz. I have skills. :)

I've definitely had many lucky hits on origami pieces though.

Hi Ondrej, I'm sure it can be done, with origami anything is possible! But I'm not at that skill level yet, still very new to origami :D Why do you call it Anna's challenge?

Hm, that's strange. Yesterday I posted a reply to this topic but now it doesn't show up any more....

Well, however. Ondrej, here's a first try without final shaping or a proper folding sequence for the cookie, but it works exactly as I thought it would.
From one 9x9cm square of note block paper.
