Fascinating Origami by Vincent Palacios

This book contains wonderful designs, but they are difficult to understand, especially for myself who is only a beginner.

Would someone with experience and knows this book help guide me through the design to make the turtle on page 63?
Or possibly, suggest a better or simpler design to create such a wonderful symmetric artpiece?
