Hi, I was watching an anime recently and found this really nice origami flower, however, I could not seem to find it on google so I was wondering if someone could help me identify what it is?
Here's a screenshot of it:

On that website it's called a bilberry. It's the 12th one down. There used to be a ton of videos for this flower on youtube but now that I actually need to access one I can't find them.
There's another similar one on oirland just called simple flower, the middle is flat though not sticking up.

Out of curiosity, what anime was it?

Thanks for the help, so it seems it was the Iris/Lily afterall. I searched for a long time and the only thing that was similar was the Iris/Lily, however it lacks the central part that sticks up and the base of it is much longer than the one pictured in the anime. I guess maybe it was easier to "portray" it as shown instead of how it looks like when made using paper.
Well anyway, the anime it's from is Gundam SEED.
Once again, thanks!
EDIT: Nevermind, I misread mrsriggins post while I was skim-reading it; it seems it is called a Bilberry. Well thanks for the help, will try making it now!

I think it is the iris, but it's upside-down. The part it shows sticking up is usually the base/stalk. You can see one of the smaller points peeking out from the opposite side.

The base of the iris is much longer though, also (it might not be so clear from the screenshot - sorry about the bad screenshot) but the little bit at the bottom is actually a base like the Bilberry. I can't remember in which episode it shows the base more clearly so I can't get a screenshot of it unfortunately.
However, after making an iris/lily and a bilberry, it seems to me that neither of them are the exact match.
First of all, the top part (bud?) of the flower is similar to the bilberry, however, it seems to have folds on the outside too. The leaves, however, are exactly the same as the iris/lily in which the edges point outwards then inwards (like an irregular pentagon). I can't really comment on the base though except that it's similar to the bilberry in which there is a little hole for the stalk (or maybe you can just cut the end off and there will be a hole anyway...).
Well I guess it was just a made up flower based on the iris and bilberry after all.
Lily?

Hi, do you mean this?
http://www3.telus.net/westcoastorigami/ ... /lily2.jpg
I couldn't tell you the proper name, I just call it a lily. I saw a picture of one somewhere on the net and I stared at the pictures so long I figured it out based on experimentation. I don't have diagrams but I can post / email photos as I make one so you can make one. This begs the question, how to you post pics on the forum?

@CinCin
Upload images to an image hoster such ImageShack or Photobucket then just copy and paste the link.
Anyway, I found a "better" screenshot of the "flower" which might help to see if there is such thing...

Okay, the lily doesn't look like the one in your cartoon as it doesn't have the bottom part. However, I think this look pretty similar. I posted onto a public facebook page:

I did upload all the steps but 3 photos didn't pop up right away and decided to pop out of order

, let me know and I can try again
The precreasing is important to make it look right
hmmm...
