Best compact camera for origami close-up ?

Would appreciate opinions of best compact camera that has given you the most satisfying results for close-up origami model shots .

My camera is a Olympus Digital C-500 and has a super makro zoom function that works quite well, but I think of buying a mirror reflex camera. The main reason I want to change is that my camera always changes the colour of the objects I'm taking photos of what can be quite annoying. Lately we had a visitor that had a camera where the colours seemed quite natural, not sure if it was a Kodak or Canon, I have to ask him when I see him again.

I use a Leica V-Lux 1. Is identical in construction to Panasonic FZ50 BUT have a different software and a much better colour rendition.

origami 8, the colour changing problem could probably be solved with re-configuring your camera.
Its not related to the camera you use. If you are able to change the settings for the "Weissabgleich" everything should be fine. Search for settings like daylight, lamplight ect.
@threadstarter: as you nearly always take macro photos of your origami, you should be fine with a low budget digital camera. These small cameras usually support a great macro zoom. Though some lack good configuration settings and don't let you switch every setting you might want to switch. When you browse flickr the camera type and settings are also being displayed. Maybe you could get some inspiration there!
I take my fotos with a single lens reflex camera and a 100mm macro lens. But for origami thats breaking a fly on the wheel

You can do some color correction on your computer-even simple fixes can make a big difference.

Regarding color changes, I've found that the lighting has a significant
impact on color rendition.
Varies depending on whether one is using natural light, florescent light, or incandescent light.
When time permits, I plan to experiment with the Ott-lite bulbs, normally sold for true colors in sewing.
