How to diagram your models
Since I've seen that diagramming is a very common problem (it was my very forst question too as I've jioned to our forum), I've decided to collect here all the links I've found in the forum (and also out) regarding "how to make diagram".
Many thanks also to TheRealChris that put me on the right way to find out all those links
The best software to draw a crease pattern
Your favorite diagramming software
Diagramming software used by professionals
The Arrows in Diagrams
Softwares for producing diagrams (essay, 215 pages)
Drawing diagrams
Best Way to Diagram?
ORIPA (java CP drawing software)
Novel Methods for Transferring Crease Patterns (on large sheets)
Crease Pattern Maker
To diagram or not to diagram, that's the question.
CP versus diagrams
Getting a CopyrightAfter all our effort to draw diagrams it would be usefull to know how to protect them
Drawing of diagram
How to draw a diagram?
Crease patterns as diagrams
From crease pattern to diagram
NOTE: I've tested all the links, expecially the older ones, and until a couple of month ago they still work.
Anyway if you would find some broken links please report them to me and I'll remove them from the list.
Enjoy reading
Moderator comment: made this a sticky, thx for collecting

Following THIS little problem, I've recently found out that the new version InkScape has been finally released!
This new version (0.47) has no more the bug of unexpected closing down.
I'm using it intensively and I've never get back an error.
Thank you for all the work done from the InkScape staff!
You can download it HERE

Alright, new version of Inkscape.
I'll have to download it soon.
Anyways, I've started writing a guide on how to use Inkscape for origami diagramming specifically. I'll post it here when it is completed. I'll have to have someone edit it when I finish though, so if you are interested, just PM me.

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.

I have started drawing diagrams using inkscape but have realised that each SVG file can only have one page. How can I convert inkscape drawn diagrams to a pdf but merge in all the different pages?

After using Inkscape I convert each page to a .pdf file by printing them as one (for this i use doPDF v7 which creates a .pdf file instead of printing the document).
Then I join the resulting .pdf files with PDFILL pdf tools (free) which was the only thing I found to work with windows 7 64.
There are plenty or programmes about to do any of the above, some of it is trial and error and finding what works for you

inkscape version 0.47 is a quick and great software for origami diagramming! i have already diagrammed a kangaroo with it which can be found here : http://img204.imageshack.us/i/kangarood ... scape.jpg/
i am curruntly diagramming 3 models and will use inkscape for a long time to come!
it is hard to know exactly what to do at first but once you get the hang of things it is very easy, quick and clever!

Re: How to diagram your models
I listed the guides I found in the matter here: DIAGRAMMING GUIDES
Although some of the articles, have already been mentioned in this thread.
And if you can read Spanish, you could read J. Juan Campo's "Tutorial de Diagramación con CorelDRAW" parts 1 to 5.

Re: How to diagram your models
Has anyone been diagramming on a tablet ? Which one and with which software ? I'd fancy it'd be pretty cool, but I am not sure there are truely useful hardware/software combos in this realm.

I have not used a tablet, but Beth Johnson showed me that she uses an App on her iPad to do her diagramming.
