Thanks! Is the cp for this ryuzin on Kamiyas site? or are the diagrams in a convention book somwhere? I know there there not in Kmiyas book, but I'm hoping he has diagrams for this.

When you fold from CP it will never be exactly the same as the designer, unless your God.ForceFold wrote:menschenfeind, is that ryu zin actually Satoshi Kamiyas model? It looks like a different model. Did you design this one based off of Satoshi kamiyas model, or is that one of the very first versions that kamita designed?
Haha Jake, I see you put my saying as your signature

Re: What have you folded lately?
I didn't mean it that way
I meant to ask him if that was the dragon that Kamiya had designed,
but I can undestand your confusion.

Re: What have you folded lately?
Finally finished Robert Lang's Black Forest Cuckoo Clock! This was a joint folding project with my friend Erik, and we each folded our own clocks out of 12" x 120" Elephant Hide paper. We had to tape 4 sheets together to get a rectangle that long, but fortunately Dr. Lang shows where to tape the paper in ODS so that the tape is hidden inside of the model (although the tape made the cuckoo bird awfully thick and hard to shape!). Total folding time was around 20 hours total.

Great job! I attempted the model a few times right when the book came out, but I never succeeded to fold a presentable figure.SenorTortuga wrote: Finished model:

ForceFold: The diagrams are in Lang's book Origami Design Secrets. I believe there are other versions of his cuckoo clock that have been diagrammed elsewhere, though.

Excellent fold of the clock, SenorTortuga. And fi-ori, that is mind-bendingly awesome.

Great model, I like the plates on its back, though its one day too early for this month's challenge, though maybe you could add claws, and then submit it.
