fiddler crab - brian chan
folded by me from one 40x40 cm sheet of origamido paper
took like 2 days, getting to the base isn't hard, its the shaping that killed me. i gave up on the diagrams for shaping, because one of the flaps to create the mouth disapeared somehow, so i just shaped it to where it looked like how i remember a fiddler crab was looking when i was a little kid. i used to catch them all the time.

Also, i noticed, on the bottom of the larger claw (the "fiddle") there is some extra paper that could be pulled out to make it more realistic. once my other sheets of origamido gets here, i am trying this model again (i got 2 sheets for free last time, a brown and a gray, the gray one i made a beetle with but it turned out despicably horrible so its rotting in my basement and will never see the light of my camera)

SOOO ANYWAY, i'll update you guys on that if it actually works.. and the waiting begins again.

Awesomeness of awesomnesses! (i'm not saying that again, it sounds really silly, that ryujinn is awesome!) i've been trying to invent the pokemon Aggron, and amongst other things, folding display models of my fireflower, which will end up on Neorigami shortly. (I think the link to my neorigami is the second arf, but it may be the first)

I folded the Fugu, designed by Sipho Mabona! I used a fiarly thick paper to fold it, and I didn't realize how thick the paper was going to get! THose waterbombs can be hard to fold when you're folding through four layers of paper!

I also folded Roman Diaz's horse. I love this model, it really captures the grace and beauty of a horse. This was an experiment in wetfolding. Although i used too thin of a paper, i felt it turned out alright, let me know what you think!
