I've seen this model long time ago and thought "I will fold it some day!". so here is it :p
however I had hard time searching for it, as I couldn't remember the latin name I had to search for all insects with little things on horns - I've found the name on some site selling insects ;o

I folded Jason Ku's Samurai! This model was wierd, the cp seems to be based around a 48 by 48 grid, but after measuring and scratching my head, I found the diagonal folds to be based off a 64 by 64 grid, while the horizontal and vertical folds were based off of a 48 grid. maybe I'm just being dumb, but I guess the model turned out pretty good :D

If it's just mountain and valley folds, how hard could it be?

I folded a model I called double braided paper since the author (Diana Vargas) did not give it a name, but discovered it while trying to fold the braided paper:

What's the difference between that one and JC Nolan's ?

(I think you've folded both ?)

You mean in the folding sequence or in the final result? For the result you can compare both since there are pictures on his same page a couple of posts before.

Regarding the folding, this one is similar but done over the diagonal, not parallel to the sides.

Got some 35cm tant from Nicolas' shop. It's great to have reasonable size precut squares to use.

Takashi's Skulls in a makeshift mobile. (with 3d eye sockets)
