You should really use better paper. If you cant find anything in your area, why dont you try Origami Shop?

Hi, three new models I made this summer but that I couldn’t photograph until today
I designed the panther with the same paper size than my crumpled model but using ‘traditional’ origami. You can see both models together. Although crumpling, in theory, is the most efficient way to fold the paper, you can see that both models are very similar in size:

The head is based on Saadya’s masks but with a longer stripe of paper that allows to close the model with hair:

Finally, I designed the ballet dancer joining a simple 16x16 box pleated man with the skirt of one of Joisel’s dwarves:

I hope you like it

Tip: Ask around for a 'prepaid' credit card. Basically like a gift card, but is a temporary credit card.

@Langko: great fold! spurred me on to order the book this morning.
@sr123ification: There are a few ways to pay at origami shop that might be of use to you (click on the postage & payments tab) If you can get hold of some thin kraft paper and some acrylic paints you can get good results...its strong, folds well, looks good and shapes quite nicely. I scavange a lot of kraft paper from packages friends have had delivered, just recently got some pretty big sheets (about 130cm) which were fine after a bit of ironing.

JAPC : A hauntingly imposing demon face, nicely done, conveys a modicum of foreboding . I would have to wonder whether a more developed mouth, ( snarl ?), would add or detract from it ...

Quentin: Kudos all around for your magnificent turtle !
Once again, you've shown that, with extraordinary thought, one may convey a relatively simple model into a work of art, free from annoying complexities. Not an easy thing to do !
The overall work is exceptionally well balanced, with ideal proportions .
I especially admire the care that you've taken to produce the appropriately thick legs .
Yep, Quentin, you've nailed it !
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .
